For those that know me, I’ve long been a nut. More specifically, a sports nut.

“Useless knowledge” my friends and family would tell me as I’d recount an obscure Twins HR leader from long before I was born, or point out the tragedy that is the Vikings dubious distinction of being the winningest NFL franchise without a Super Bowl triumph.  It’s funny how easily we can “study” the things we shouldn’t care about, and how difficult it can be to study what we “need” to (there’s many an accounting professor at the University of Minnesota that can attest to this).

At any rate, I’ve finally decided to pursue my long-overdue passion project: sportswriting.  I’ve spent almost 15 years consuming every sporting news content available – from the early days reading the MMQB, to the glory that was Grantland, and finally to current sportswriting giant The Athletic.  I figure after all this time consuming the content of others, it’s due time to contribute some of my own. There will be growing pains along this journey as I find my way as a writer – but I appreciate each and every click along the way.
